Sunday 2nd June 10am until 4pm
This one day workshop will be led by local artist Sue Wood, who has many years’ experience of helping people develop their creativity. Sue will focus on the varied techniques needed to begin a sketchbook or visual diary, using the inspiring gardens of Sussex Prairies as a starting point. She will demonstrate techniques such as collage, printing and stamping, and creative approaches to sketching and lettering that will enable you to put together exciting pages in your book from the outset. Students will have full access to the garden and will be able to pick flowers to press, draw or print from.
Do bring along any art materials you may have, such as pencils, paints and pastels, together with an A4/A5 sized sketchbook. A range of materials will be available for use at the workshop. Sue can also offer advice to anyone who would like to include photographs in their sketchbook, so bring along any photos you already have, along with your camera to record the garden on the day.
The workshop will run from 10am-4pm with a break for lunch, so do bring a picnic.
The cost of the day will be £50 and enquiries can be made via Sue’s website, www.suewoodarts.co.uk
